My Brasov

The first meeting I had with Brasov was in my childhood, but the first serious relationship was in 2007. Then I fell in love with this city. It all started with a photography course by Dan Dinu. I took that course for 3 months. 3 months in which I commuted weekly. I stayed 4 days in Brasov and 3 days in Bucharest. Enough time to discover the city and  to fall in love with it. What do I like about Brasov? I don’t know exactly. I think the ...

Sibiu

I like Brasov, but I also like Sibiu. Maybe because it is very similar to Brasov, maybe because it is also in Transylvania, I don’t know what to say. But every time I visit this city I seem to get my a dose of peace, civilization and common sense.

Dubai Experience

For me, visiting Dubai was an impulse decision. I didn’t particularly want to see Dubai, but the opportunity arose and I said why not? I got a good offer, made a small plan “on my knees” and left. Without expectations, without a detailed plan, without a lot of thoughts. Totally atypical to me. When I landed, the first thing I did after retrieving my luggage was look for a rental car. I recommend everyone who arrives in Dubai to ...

Journey Pub, one of my favourites venues

Yes, I admit: I’m addicted to travel. It’s like a drug to me. If I don’t leave the country once every 3-4 months, if I don’t even take the car and wander around Bucharest a bit, if I don’t change the landscape from time to time, I feel like I’m going crazy. I go into withdrawal. Well, to calm this obsession, I go to Journey Pub quite often. It’s a meeting place for travel junkies, like me. A place where you can tell your friends the latest ...

london

London: simply amazing

I’ve been to London 6 times and every time this city managed to surprise me. When you say London, you mean civilisation, organisation, cleanliness, art, innovation, nature, relaxation. It is enough to spend an hour in this city and you will discover them all. I have visited London as a tourist so many times, but this time I managed to spend a week in this wonderful city as a simple local. I’ve avoided the touristy and crowded areas and I p ...

offline

My first offline sunday

I did it! I stayed offline for 24 hours. No phone, no internet and no more crazy stuff. I solved some things around the house that I don’t think I would do if I was connected. I finished a book, saw a movie and went out for a walk. Btw, did you know that you can get from point x to point y without google maps and you can meet your friends without having your phone with you? 🙂 Next Sunday: Sirnea;)

Pure passion for art

I was walking on the seafront in Palma, trying to get some decent shots and suddenly I hear a voice from behind: Nice lens! I turn: A small guy, brown hair, with some glasses covering half of his face. He was walking towards me, pulling a kind of stroller after him. Thank you, I answer politely. Are you a photographer? I don’t know what to answer. Kind-of .. Well, I find out what he was carrying on that stroller: a very old camera. A kind of ...

Stress or relaxation?

How do you get over important life issues: personal or professional? Do you choose to take every detail seriously? To plan everything head-to-tail and carefully calculate every step you have to take? Or do you better try to relax, to look at the whole situation and to visualise the result as if you were 2 steps away from it? Personally, I think the ideal solution would be somewhere in the middle: to look at the problem as a whole, to visua ...

future

The secret

How many times have you wondered: What do I do with my life? Where am I going? What is happening to me and especially what will happen in a few years? Until recently, I was the same. I saw no future in any way. I was more than confused. Nobody and nothing pleased me. After a lot of fog, a lot of blurry images, I finally see a meaning in everything that happens around me. I didn’t bumped into a bag of money, I didn’t break a bank and I didn’t ...

Around the world in 365 days

In the past 2 years, travel has become a lifestyle for me, a drug, an incurable disease, a purpose, a justification for daily work. I started reading, researching and planning trips after trips, after trips. Now is the time for the big challenge: Around the World. 365 days, 5 continents, 20 countries, a RoundTheWorld Pass, a camera, a laptop and, as usual, a lot of passion. Deadline: 2035. For a few days now I have been working on the timelin ...
