Zanzibar

After a wait that stretched over twelve long years, the dream of Zanzibar finally became a reality.

And believe me, the legendary Spice Island didn’t just deliver; it absolutely enchanted. We’d gone with visions of pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, and while Zanzibar offered those in breathtaking abundance, it surpassed our expectations spectacularly, revealing so much more.

Our days were a wonderful blur of exploration across the north of the island. We ambled along Zanzibar’s famously beautiful beaches, dipped into the luxury of 5-star resorts and their inviting infinity pools, had the surreal experience of swimming with tortoises, danced the night away, marvelled at secluded sandbanks, and indulged in some truly fantastic food. It’s quite something, all that vibrant life and diverse beauty packed onto one relatively small island.

If this adventure reinforced anything, it’s the simple yet profound wisdom of travel: show up, be present, keep an open mind, perhaps manage those expectations, and truly, wholeheartedly, embrace the unknown. Zanzibar was a brilliant reminder of that.
