I don’t know how well known the concept of “Hostel” is in Romania, but in more civilized countries it is very popular. What is a hostel? It is a kind of hotel where you can find 2 types of rooms: shared and private. The shared ones have up to 18 bunk beds and the private rooms have double or twin beds.
Also at hostels you will find a lobby, where most of the time you have wi-fi internet access, sofas, billiards, games, etc. A very cool place is the kitchen. Here you can cook your own food, you can use the refrigerator or the microwave. Most hostels also include breakfast, where you can serve cereals, butter, jam, juices, milk or coffee.
Another great thing that makes the difference between a hostel and a hotel is that at the hostel you have unlimited possibilities to make friends. I socialized in 5 days in Barcelona with the French, the Swedes, the Americans, the Taiwanese and of course the Spaniards.
All for 15-20 euros / night. I have only been staying at hostels for 2 years. Both alone and with friends.
