The pedestrianized area of Madrid is very large. About the center of Bucharest. Just pedestrianized. The tube network is close to London Tube in size and complexity. If you arrive here, you must taste the typical Spanish ham. They also have a dedicated museum. “Museo de Jamon” is called and here you can try various types of ham, sauces and other goodies.
Puerta del Sol is km 0 from Spain. From here begins the numbering of highways and roads. Also, here is km 0 of fun and good mood. In Madrid they wear short skirts and deep necklines 🙂 Very interesting are the signs with the names of the streets. Above the name you can admire an illustration specific to that street.
In the souvenir shops you can hear the O-zone songs: “Love from the linden tree”. How long will these songs be heard in Europe? Looks like the band doesn’t even exist anymore, right? In front of a kind of mini-prix, 2 romanian girls talk about shoes, skirts and blouses of 1.2 EUR: “Girl, here they are cheap. From here I got my shoes”. “Yes, girl! Let’s go in!”
In front of a cinema, a group of prostitutes, most likely also Romanians, shake my hand. Do they want to invite me to a movie? Yes, they were romanians. Less than 20 meters far, I come across another group. They spoke Romanian. Not too far away, 3 policemen were looking at me bored. They don’t give a fuck.
In the park, 4 romanians, filled a table with seed shells. Before leaving, they said: “Aren’t we collecting these too?” “Come on, leave it at that.” And they were taken away.
Enough. I left. Next stop: Bilbao!
